Mixtape Monday
A New Lecture Series

Mixtape Monday features lectures on unrelated topics pairing two speakers, who each speak for twenty minutes on two completely unrelated subjects, followed by question and answer on both topics, at the same time.

ViBe Story Exchange

Story Exchange is an ongoing community arts project, turning your stories into ART. Join Story Exchange and The Zeiders American Dream Theater, as we explore personal relationships, a stranger coming to town, our relationship with police officers, and how commitment and compromise pays off.

The night will include a Q & A with authors and artists. Tickets are $10 at the door.

Over forty years, Ferebee has developed her unique musical skills, delighting audiences from D.C. to Dallas and entertaining widely in the Mid-Atlantic Region. Her impressive guitar work and powerful vocals, soulfully transport her listeners with an eclectic mix of traditional Flat-Picked Fiddle tunes and Finger-Style Blues, choice New-grass and Americana songs, Jazz standards and nice Originals thrown in for good measure. She also performs with the Tidewater Classical Guitar Orchestra noted for their Virginia Arts Commission engagements throughout the state!

An open Mic for Poets, Storytellers, and Fabulists

The Word welcomes diverse voices and fans of poetry, spoken word, and all forms of creative writing. We encourage all ages and backgrounds to come together and share in the mutual adoration of words. The Z provides a platform for writers to share their work while fostering a comfortable, laid-back, and encouraging atmosphere. This is your chance to take the mic! Read your own work or share a favorite.
